John describes a day when atheism will be no more. Kings, mighty men, the rich and the poor alike will cry out to be hidden from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb (Revelation 6:15-17).

We are living in a most exciting time. If our eyes are open and we are paying attention to the Kingdom of God, then we can be confident that this is not a moment of confusion or doubt. According to John, the world is heading toward an undeniable encounter with the living God—an event that will erase atheism and reveal Jesus, the Lamb, as Judge and King.

In light of this impending reality, the Church must recognize that our gatherings are not empty routines. Even when we feel weary, even when it seems we are just going through motions, we are part of something supernatural.

It is not in vain that we gather, go to prayer meetings, share our faith, worship, and praise the Lord. We are involved in a Kingdom work that will impact the entire world. Although we have not yet seen the answers in the way we had hoped, delay is not denial. God has a plan and dates of visitation that He has already set. If we do not faint or grow weary, we will see the outpouring, the Glory, and the fruit of every cry lifted to heaven (Galatians 6:9; James 5:16-18).

Just as Simeon and Anna waited faithfully in the temple for the consolation of Israel (Luke 2:25-38), unsure of when or how God would fulfill His Word, they were steadfast in faithfulness and hope. How long did they wait? We do not know but consider their faithfulness at the temple: day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. Perhaps they wondered if all of this was in vain. Maybe they wondered if nothing would ever really happen or take place. Possibly they questioned whether they heard God correctly. Yet, they remained faithful. And the glorious day came! The Messiah was in the temple, and they both saw him.

So, it is with us. Our faithfulness matters. We are called to wait with expectation. And just like them, we will see His Glory. We must not grow weary; the days of faithful gatherings, faithful attendance, watching, and crying for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit have never been in vain and never will be. The consistent pursuit of God in the boring days only gives weight to our faith. All the days, weeks, months, and years of faithfulness have been the demonstration of our faith, our unfailing hope that we will see God move.

God is at work, and a remnant will be a part of this Glory. It will not be the showmanship that we have seen over the decades of great charismatic movements and men who profited from God. No, this will be a move of the Holy Spirit that is very holy. A movement that causes the whole world to know who God is, and the Lamb.

As John the Baptist pointed to the Lamb at the close of one age, let us also, through the power of the Holy Spirit, point them back to the Lamb. Let us not grow weary, for God is raising up a remnant, and His Glory will fill the earth (Habakkuk 2:14). Every moment we come together in worship, we are planting seeds for God’s movement. Nothing we do is in vain. Our faithfulness will yield a bountiful harvest in His time.

LOOK BACK BUT MOVE FORWARD

Now is not the time to only look back and honor the faith of our fathers, as though their day was greater than ours. This is our day. We are chosen, born for such a time as this (Esther 4:14), fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and empowered by the same Spirit they relied upon.

Jesus is still the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He calls us to rise, to believe for more, to stay awake and alert. Don’t sleep through your moment. Be the believer who is alert, expectant, and ready to move with God.

Now is not the time for less—it is time to believe for more: for fresh anointing and holy fire, not for performance or popularity, but for a sacred move of God that brings irrefutable evidence of the gospel to a dying world. As priests and kings (Revelation 1:6), empowered by the Holy Spirit, our calling is to proclaim Jesus – the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29).

DOES IT MATTER THAT WE GATHER

Church Family, be encouraged! Our gatherings are never in vain. Even when it feels routine, even when our hearts feel dry or weary, what we do together matters. Every prayer lifted, every song sung, every moment spent waiting on the Lord carries weight in eternity.

The steady faithfulness of God’s people—week after week, month after month, year after year—shines as a testimony of hope. Even in the “ordinary” days, our faith is being proven genuine. Our tears, our prayers, our longing for the Holy Spirit’s outpouring have not gone unnoticed by heaven.

Do not grow weary. What seems hidden now will one day be revealed in Glory. We will see God move. We will see His promises fulfilled. We are part of something supernatural—something far greater than what our eyes can see in the moment.

God is faithful. He has heard every cry, and He will fulfill His Word. And when His Glory breaks forth, we will look back and know that not one gathering, not one prayer, not one act of faith was wasted.

WALK WITH GOD

You are called to God, not routine. Keep your eyes on Jesus and your ears open to His voice. Follow Him. Those who get stuck in routine or traditionalism may miss the move of the Holy Spirit. Walking With God Means Moving Forward. You can’t walk with God and stay where you are.

Walking with Him always requires growth, change, and a fresh anointing. Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, continually increases and adds to our faith. Think about it—why do you believe you went through those hard times? Why did you endure those challenging seasons of waiting, filled with expectation but not yet seeing the promise fulfilled? It wasn’t for nothing. Every trial was preparation. The battles with the “bears” were training for the day you would face your “Goliath.” And when you take down the Goliath, it positions you to step into your destiny-just as David did, moving from shepherd boy to Israel’s great deliverer and eventually king. Each step with God leads to a greater purpose.

Even the disciples, after the resurrection, could not walk with Jesus as they had before. Their walk required a new anointing. They needed the power of the Holy Spirit to step into their calling – to go into all the world and turn nations upside down.

So, it is with us. God is calling us forward, into deeper faith and greater anointing. Every trial and every victory is leading us into our next season. Don’t stop being faithful. It is not in vain to gather and worship week after week. Continue to attend Church and go even more often. Go to the prayer meeting. Stay in the Word. Cry out to God. Be the choir of praise. Go on mission trips. Preach in the streets. The best is yet to come. Something supernatural is about to happen.

As we await the coming of the Lord, we do so with great anticipation, believing these could be the most significant days of the Church; moments equal to the Acts of the Holy Spirit as recorded in the book of Acts. It is time for more. We are to expect more. As the Word says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be Glory in the Church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen” Ephesians 3:20-21. Our waiting is not marked by fear or defeat, but by victory, authority, and triumph in Christ. We are more than conquerors, not shrinking back or hiding, but standing boldly in faith and purpose. In these days, our mission is to be that House (Church) the Holy Ghost inhabits, living as Kings and Priests unto our God in this present evil generation.
