“And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region” (Acts 13:49)

In obedience to the command of the Lord, we strive to bring the gospel to those who surround us daily. Our neighborhood, our city, our state, our workplaces and classrooms. We understand that many in our community have never truly heard the good news of our Savior Jesus Christ. We pray to be a witness unto Him in our words and our deeds as we seek to care for the spiritual and physical needs of those around us.

  • Hispanic Ministry

    Hispanic Ministry

Led by the Holy Spirit, through Rey and Heidys Sanchez, this ministry is engaged in outreach among the growing Latino population in Baton Rouge through demonstrating the love and compassion of Jesus to those in need. The ministry has two services a week where  the Gospel is preached and is starting to hold home meetings to evangelize and disciple the new believers. This ministry is providing a wonderful opportunity to reach people from many different countries and has become much like a mission trip. In our group there are nine nations represented which brings diversity and a sense that we are reaching all nations one soul at a time!

Please refer to the church calendar or our schedule of services  and for meeting times and locations.

  • The Christmas Outreach

    The Christmas Outreach

Ever wonder why we give gifts at Christmas? It is easy to forget in the midst of all the holiday hustle and bustle, but the word of God gives a beautiful answer.  In the book of Esther, the Jews had a death sentence looming over them.  Through an evil plot, the whole nation was condemned to die, but through a miracle of God, the situation was turned around. The ones who were plotting death were killed, and the people of Israel, who would have died…lived!  Then, the Bible says they rested and made it a day of feasting and gladness, a good day of sending portions one to another, and giving gifts to the poor.  They were so glad to have life and not death they celebrated with JOY and gave of the life they had received!

Likewise, a death sentence was over us because of sin. The wrath of God was looming. Then, through a miracle of God, the word become flesh and dwelt among us.  Instead of on us, the wrath of God was poured upon Jesus, on the cross.  He died our death; He purchased our pardon!  As believers, we are now free from sin and death!  God gave His only Son that we might live and not die!

This is the vision God gave us when He led us to reach out and have an outdoor Christmas Celebration.  It is with this inspiration that we gather as His redeemed and CELEBRATE JESUS!  It is all for Him.  We rest, we feast, we are glad and rejoice in the goodness of the

Lord!  It is a beautiful day of loving our God and one another, giving gifts, singing and joyfully sharing the good news we have received.

  • Thanksgiving Outreach

    Thanksgiving Outreach

It is our desire to bless those in our body who are in need during the Thanksgiving holiday. This ministry goes beyond our members as well. We desire for Thanksgiving to be a joyful, exciting celebration for each and every person within our reach. During this time we like to give back to Him and bless Him by loving those in need in His body. We provide a Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings and deliver the turkey hot and ready to eat on Thanksgiving morning. We take the opportunity to pray with many of the families and share encouragement with them as they go through difficult times.

If you would like to be part of this outreach, contact Scooter Trice or Jordan Shipp.
