Welcome!

Welcome to First New Testament Church! We are happy that you are planning a visit. FNT is a congregation consisting of all ages and backgrounds that delights in loving God and loving one another, whose heart and arms are opened to the lost and dying people of the world.

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are calling the sinners, the broken-hearted, the sick, and the bound to freedom and new life by the Gospel of Jesus Christ – Luke 4:18. We endeavor to see FNT as a perfect blending of races and cultures worshipping and serving our Lord in Pentecostal Power and Life.

Our Prayer

Our prayer for you is that as you walk through the doors of our foyer, you will be greeted by not just a friendly smile, but by the love of Jesus Christ… That as you enter the doors of our sanctuary you will not only find a comfortable seat, but you will sit in the presence of the Lord… that as you hear our musicians and singers, you will not only join in singing, but you will join in true worship & praise. That as the pastor preaches you will not only hear a message, but you will hear the Living Word anointed by the Holy Spirit…that as you join in prayer you agree not only with the congregation, but you talk to the Father…that as you spend time with us you experience not only a structured service, but a service structured and led by the Holy Spirit. To sum it up, our desire for your visit to FNT is expressed by a small plaque on the Pastor’s pulpit stating, “…Sir, we would see Jesus.”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When you arrive you will be greeted by people who are genuinely happy to see you. Our Holy Spirit led services include worship through songs and praise, an anointed message delivered from God’s heart and time to spend with the Lord at the altar. We believe we can come to church in faith, entering His gates with thanksgiving, expecting His presence to move among us and be strengthened with might in the inner man. We desire this for you as well.

Is First New Testament Church part of a denomination?

First New Testament Church was founded in 1986 as a non-denominational, full gospel church. It is our desire to teach the whole counsel of God’s Word and to be the church of the New Testament by the power of the Holy Spirit and the grace of God.

Do you offer a new believer’s class?

Yes. We offer a class called “Grounded” for young believers and newer members of FNT. Grounded meets several times during the year and covers foundational topics for the life of a believer and makes opportunities for active participation with the Body of Christ through prayer, worship, fellowship and outreach.

How do I give to FNT?

FNT receives tithes & offerings in the Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services. There is also a secure offering box in the foyer that can be accessed at any time during our services. Also, if you would like to contribute electronically, you may do so here or on this site by clicking on the GIVE button at the top of our home page.

Do you live stream the services?

Yes. FNT streams all services from the main sanctuary onto our website, You Tube, and on our Facebook page. Our Watch Live page can be accessed on this site here or through the watch live button on homepage.

Is there a nursery provided for services?

Yes. We have nursery care provided for each church service. It is our desire to foster an environment where we worship, teach biblical values & encourage fellowship amongst our youngest of members, while giving parents the opportunity to worship in our main service. To create safety & structure in our nursery, we use a check-in system for all children. To add your child to the system, please go to the info desk in the foyer and ask for assistance from one of our Greet Team members.

Do you have Children’s church on Sundays?

Yes, each Sunday morning the children join us for worship then K4 – 5th grade are dismissed for Fireplace Children’s Ministry

How do I check my children in for their  services?

As you enter the foyer, to the right is our check-in station. An usher or greet team member will be there to assist you. Any child attending the nursery, Sunday School classes, or Fireplace must be checked in. We appreciate your help in keeping our children safe.

How can I get involved?

We have many fellowships and Bible studies that meet throughout the week. Please check our Ministries section for a list of these and also our calendar to see times and events that are scheduled. In addition, you are welcomed to contact the church office for more information. Our email is office@fntchurch.org and our phone number is (225)293-2222.

Meeting with the Church

God dispenses His grace to us through assembling together. God listens to individual prayers, but there is another kind of prayer. It must be prayed in the meetings, in the principle of two or three asking together in the Lord’s name. These prayers must be brought to the prayer meeting before we see them come to pass. God’s corporate grace comes to man only through the meetings.
