The groups and gatherings of the Body of Christ at FNT provide a  good opportunity to develop stronger relationships among the members and afford the chance to  minister more effectively in each other’s lives. As Ephesians tells us, the church body, just as the physical body, can be supplied and built up by all the different parts supplying each other. We hope you can join with us in fellowship and be strengthened in your relationship with Jesus and His body.

  • Children

    Children

    Contact: Chris & Rachel Forester

We believe our children are the church of today, not just tomorrow and we desire that they grow in the Lord by experiencing and taking an active part in prayer, worship, the preaching of God’s Word, and the altar service. The children participate in the worship time and are then dismissed to attend a special service called “Fire Place” Henry and Anna Abrahams, along with a team of others, minister to our children to provide them a place to learn about and grow in Christ –  learning about how they are part of the body of Christ NOW, not just when they grow up.

Our Children’s Sunday School classes provide an excellent opportunity for the children to be discipled in the Word of God.

We also provide care for our children age 3 and under during Sunday School and our Worship services. In the nursery, our mission is to honor & glorify God through creating a safe space for His children. It is our desire to foster an environment where we worship, teach biblical values & encourage fellowship amongst our youngest of members, while giving parents the opportunity to worship in our main service.

To create safety & structure in our children’s  and nursery program, we use a check-in system for all children. To add your child to the system, please go to the info desk in the foyer and ask for assistance from one of our Greet Team members. To inquire about joining our Nursery volunteer rotation, please see Leah Wilkes for details. This is a wonderful ministry to participate in & allows our parents to enjoy our service.

Please see the church calendar  and announcements for dates and times of children’s events.

  • Youth

    Youth

    Contact: Felix & Beka Burch

At First New Testament, our young people are special to us. We believe that they are not the church of the future, but the church today. Our desire is to cultivate the gifts God has given them for the common good of the body & to change the world around them for Christ. God uses them greatly in teaching, in music, in missions, in prayer meetings, and many other ways, to encourage the Body of Christ and serve the Lord Jesus.

Besides Sunday School, the youth meet each week for fellowship and Bible Study. There are also special activities throughout the year, including retreats and mission projects.

To receive weekly updates regarding youth announcements, please see Beka Burch to be added to our Youth GroupMe.

Please refer to the church calendar  and announcements for dates and details of the youth activities.

  • Young Adults

    Young Adults

    Contact: Kayla Murphy

The young adults ministry is centered around giving the college students & young adults a place to minister and fellowship with one another. The Bible says, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching”(Hebrews 10:25). Through this ministry we offer many fellowships throughout the month with the intent of PURSUING unity (Ephesians 4:3) and fostering an atmosphere for the Lord to reveal the gifts He has placed in the members of His body.

We also have a weekly Bible Study where we aim to equip one another with the truth of Jesus and the power of His word.  For schedules, locations, and announcements see the website or the associated GroupMe chats.

Please refer to the church calendar  and announcements for details and dates.

    FNT Ladies

    Contact: Carla Shipp

We desire as ladies to fellowship together and encourage one another in our walk with the Lord. We believe that women play a vital role in the life of the church, just as they did in the New Testament. As they build relationships with one another, the older can teach, lead and encourage the younger and in turn, the younger can provide strength and energy to the vision and wisdom given (Titus 2: 3-5). The joy of fellowship among all the ages and seasons in life,  the richness of our study of the Word together, and the power of faithful and fervent prayer are the heartbeat of our ladies’ ministry.

We invite you to join us for weekly Bible studies, fellowship events, special luncheons, showers, conferences, and a yearly retreat.

The young married couples range in age from early 20’s to 40 something, with and without kids.  They meet on Sunday mornings in the sanctuary for Sunday school.

So many in our congregation can point back to these retreats as life-changing moments in the body of Christ at FNT.

Stay Connected with Your Group

At FNT we desire that each member of the body can communicate and share needs, encouragement and information. One form of communication that has grown in popularity, mostly because of its ease of use, is GroupMe.

GroupMe is an app that can be downloaded onto your smart phone or other device, and functions much like text messaging or social media platforms. Members receive notifications when new messages are posted.

The church manages multiple groups within GroupMe, which allow us to post announcements, prayer requests or other important information. (Men, Ladies, Young Adult, Youth, Youth Parents…) There are some groups that are meant for only announcements, while others encourage conversation among the members.

If you are a member of FNT or a regular attender and you are interested in being added to any of these groups, please contact the office, or ask a staff member. We desire that you are included and that you have all the latest information.
