Hebrews says that Jesus perfected forever those who believe, who come to God by Jesus. Though it does not yet appear what we shall be-what God has accomplished through Jesus will be suddenly revealed at the Rapture of the Church.
Yes, there is discipline in the christians life! However, the motivation is different. The law chased us with wrath and condemnation. Grace comes to us with life and blessings. Grace sets before us the reward, the beauty of Jesus, compelling us to apprehend that and reach the goal that is already ours in Christ.
What happens to Jesus’ message, what happens in His house when the legalist, the believer, and the man seeking to save his own neck are there?
Grace is the great teacher! Grace teaches us what is ungodly! How many lost men will not admit to being an ungodly man? How many in our churches claim to read their bibles, pray, and regularly attend church; seeking to live normal lives would proclaim that, “this makes me godly”, when in fact, it does not!
He is not a jew, which is one outwardly, neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But He is a jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit. In Christ, God circumcised your body of sin…He did it! He removed your curse, your death!
Grace works in us. Is it not a great stone around the neck of the believer to tell him that part of his salvation depends on his obedience? For him to be told: You must work, you must obey, you must…
But how marvelous is a salvation by grace alone!
In regards to the new salvation God would bring through Jesus-new wineskins are needed. In other words God will not mix the new covenant with the old covenant: It is either all of grace or all law, but it is not from a mixture!
Grace
The new covenant was God’s great desire, but He wanted all men to see it. Through such vivid types and shadows throughout the old covenant, God promised something utterly fantastic. When it comes – freedom comes! It is so profound that the old covenant cannot contain it, nor can the two be mixed. In the new covenant, Jesus stands alone, and all redeemed men stand IN Him!
Grace
Jesus was willing, God was willing to spare no cost or pain for Love’s sake. Because the pain of love was greater than the pain of the nails. This agony which lost men will endure in hell, is the greatest torment…and this Jesus came to save them forever!
The life of Christ is an overcoming life! You will not be bound to sin, though you may struggle with sin. Christ’s life in you is not “in” theory, but “in” reality. His life in you is the Holy ghost who works love in your heart. It. is by this love that your faith works.
Grace
Everything that the Law demands is fulfilled in this one commandment: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.
Grace
Jesus didn’t just redeem us from sin, the devil, and hell-He redeemed us from the law! What is the significance of that? Everything, if you want to live in liberty.
Grace Series
We are warned in the bible too beware of zealous people who cannot give up Moses to live in the grace of God. It is this dangerous leaven that causes multitudes to fall from grace.
Grace
Beware believer – you have been warned. Philosophers are coming after you. Grace vs. law.
Grace
To live by grace is to avail myself of the helps God is offering me. To live through faith is to believe it all exists and the reward is worth every sacrifice.
Grace
There is a grave danger of those who desire to leave grace and go back to works. They shall heap up to themselves the wrath of God and damn their souls.
