The new covenant was God's great desire, but He wanted all men to see it. Through such vivid types and shadows throughout the old covenant, God promised something utterly fantastic. When it comes - freedom comes! It is so profound that the old covenant cannot contain it, nor can the two be mixed. In the new covenant, Jesus stands alone, and all redeemed men stand IN Him!
